A COLD easterly wind
failed to dampen the en-
thusiasm of hundreds of
people who welcomed the
Queen Victoria to Albany
on Saturday morning.
Arriving early, the ship
made its way through the
steel-grey morning light
to be welcomed by a tug
and a traditional water
Marine Drive and the
boardwalk were both
packed by locals and tour-
ists as the ship made its
way to the port.
As it entered Ataturk
Channel, Albany Muzzle
Loaders fired a cannon.
The 2,000 passengers
quickly made their way
foot, enjoying music and
markets at Alison Hart-
